Snorrastaðir
is well placed for many different day trips around the area e.g. Dalir,
Borgarfjörður with Reykholt, Húsafell, Hraunfossar
and many other interesting places to see and Snæfellsnes with
all its wonders; magnificent nature, such as lava fields, beaches,
the glacier Snæfellsjökull and more and more. |
Things
to do on the farm: We have the very beautiful volcano Eldborg
just in a walking distance from the farm, it is about 40 min. walk
one way. The volcano is 100m. above sea level and 60m. deep from top
to bottom. It is a very beautifully shaped volcano which is worth
seeing. Our guests are more then welcome to come to see the milking progress or look at the sheep (in springtime) or go for a ride on our special Icelandic horses. The beach is also in a fine walking distance from the farm. |

Golf:
A very nice golf course is in Borgarnes (38km.), then there is one
in Stykkushólmur (60km.) at the guesthouse Langholt and in
Ólafsvík. |

Swimming:
In Borgarnes we have one of the best swimming pools in the area, with
hot tubs and water slides, ideal for the children. In Stykkishólmur
is a very nice swimming pool too, with very healthy water for people
with any kind of skin problem. |
Whale
Watching: is arranged from Ólafsvík by the
agency Sæferðir in Stykkishólmur. Besides they have
different kinds of sailing f.ex. bird watching. |
